parking tips for sunday jamz w/ dj scratch at copper blues oxnard resturant (oxnard 11/30)
hey everyone, figured i'd share some parking tips for sunday jamz w/ dj scratch at copper blues on 11/30. honestly, parking at the collection at riverpark for an event can be a total nightmare if you dont have a plan, especially with the 5:00 pm start time right when people are heading out for dinner or starting their night.
the absolute easiest way to deal with it is an app called prked. you can actually rent someone's driveway or garage right in the neighborhood next to the collection. it's usually way cheaper than paying for event parking would be, you skip all the traffic circling the main lots, and it's just a short walk right over to copper blues.
if you want to stick with parking at the venue, which is free by the way, copper blues is inside the collection so you have a ton of parking lots and a big garage available. for the closest spot, your best bet is to aim for the outdoor lot directly in front of copper blues and the levity live comedy club. if you come in off riverpark drive, make a right and head toward the movie theater, and you'll see the lots for that section.
the main parking garage is another free option, but fair warning, it can sometimes get really loud with car meetups late at night, so if that's not your thing, stick to the outside lots. whatever you do, plan on getting there early. traffic coming into the collection, especially off the 101 freeway at the oxnard blvd exit, gets backed up quick before an event, so give yourself enough time so you're not rushing to the door. also keep a close eye on where you park - the collection uses a private enforcement company that can issue mail-in parking charges, like up to $65 tickets, for unauthorized spots, so don't try to sneak into an ev charging spot if you don't have an electric car.
hope this helps and have a great time at the show!
