Did Suraj try to get KC and it backfired him?

Suraj did really well this week and was one of the top contenders after AG, Raghu to get KC this week.

But he himself spoiled all his brownie points by being a fitting master. May be Suraj thought what he spoke to Dhanu will not be aired and he will get KC for stopping fight between Dhruv and Dhanu?
