Best Beginner M/T Motorcycle
I’m looking for recommendations on which manual motorcycle to buy. I’ve been canvassing scooters and underbones but I’m really not a fan of those. I’m planning to purchase next month, and my budget is pretty flexible.
I’m mainly interested in naked bikes, but I’m also open to dual-sport or adventure types. Bikes recommended to me so far: Honda CBX150 KTM Duke 200 (considering it because of the sale price, but I’m unsure about long-term parts availability and whether a new gen is coming) WSR155R converted to supermoto Yamaha XSR155 / MT-15 (a bit pricey, which is why I’m considering entry-level 400–450cc bikes too) CFMOTO 450NK / 450MT Triumph Speed 400 Royal Enfield Guerilla 450 (really like the looks and colorway)
I need the bike for daily commuting, errands, quick trips, and occasional long rides. My cousin has an Aprilia 457, and I really like it—if it weren’t a sportbike, I probably would’ve bought the same one. My plan is to compile all the recommended models and sit on/test each one before choosing what fits me best. I’d also appreciate advice on whether it’s better to go for newer gens vs older ones. I’m not really a fan of second-hand bikes, but I’m open to being convinced—this will be my first motorcycle, so I’m leaning toward buying brand new.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions!
