Frustrated, anxious; IVF feelings 101?

advice needed

Hello!

After 8 cycles of trying without success, we went to get help (both aged 37) at the beginning of this year. My AMH was low 4.2 pmol /0.6 ng but I'd an AFC of 12 in January and my tubes were clear when I had a HyCoSys done.

We then started the tests on my husband. It transpired he has CF genes and CBAVD. IVF with ICSI became our only option. We had to wait months for his tests to come back and then more months for my CF tests. During this time, he also had a TESE performed and we got some sperm. However, our supply is very limited. We probably only have enough for one cycle, maybe two. (We'll have a follow up with his urologist in two weeks to see if he can do a micro TESE but that isn't guaranteed).

Fast forward to now and it's nearly December. I'm finally starting IVF. Today, I went into my Day 7 ultrasound and there's only four follicles (down 1 from last week). 2 are measuring 12mm, 1 is measuring 9mm & the other is measuring 7mm.

I'm anxious about proceeding if I have such little sperm. If I unfreeze it is it a waste for so little eggs collected?

I'm anxious that I'll go in on my day 10 scan and none of the eggs have grown any further and the clinic cancels the cycle.

I'm anxious that even if this cycle is cancelled and I try again in January my follicle count will be the same or lower.

And I'm also angry that I've had to wait nearly a year to start IVF, after so many tests. I'd 12 follicles then! It feels like so much time has been wasted.

And also wildly jealous of anyone who has it "easy" getting pregnant.

Siiiiiiiigh!!!

My clinic said they may extend my stimulation to day 12 and give this cycle its best shot.

Has any one been a similiar situation? I assume there is and I'd love to hear your story and/or advice.
