Help with Underwater Ranching

Struggling to get any footing in underwater Ranching and it seems there used to be a lot of bugs with the autopetters and collectors. Does anyone know if they work without issue now? Or just any general tips?

On a slightly related note, hate how much the barn covers behind it. I need to move my barn as soon as possible!
