Might buy a Tacoma
I'm looking to buy my first truck and the Tacoma is 1st on my list. I've had to live in some rural areas overseas (Turkey, Kenya, Philippines) and noticed that most people stick with Tacos in general. I'm currently in a 2017 mazda3 hatchback that I bought new. She's still running great even with 250k+ miles on her. No car lasts forever and I know it's only a matter of time before I have to start doing major repairs.
If/when she clunks out, I figure the next vehicle should be a decent and reliable truck that I can shift to. My family is expanding and with it their needs. It's clear I'm becoming the designated moving guy, pittie transport, furniture delivery guy etc. My fiancé and I also want to buy a small trailer and we'll need something for that.
We won't be going off-road much unless something happens where we need to. I just need something I can haul stuff in that's comfortable for 2 ppl and 2 dogs that I can drive on the day to day if the mazda needs to be worked on.
I don't really know what to look for when it comes to Tacomas so I'm really going by reputation. Buying new is on the table, though I'm kinda waiting to see what the market does by 2026. Any advice or sage wisdom anyone can share?
