Iphone Type C not charging Ipad 10th Gen

Hello all

I have recently acquired a 10th gen. ipad hoping to charge it with my type c cable that came with my iPhone 15. So it didn’t work and I bought a 30W charger. But of course that didn’t work too. Interestingly when I use my imac type c cable, it worked. Has any of you experienced such thing? I am afraid to waste more money buying some wrong cables. Do you have any recommendations? Cheers you all.
