[MI] Im worried my boss is trying to terminate me since i returned from mental health leave after complaining about another managers inappropriate jokes about my mental health.

NSFWWorkplace Issues

TL:DR: SM and ASM make inappropriate comments about my mental health, restricting my hours due to my mental health, and are potentially writing me up for having an allergic reaction.

Hi, I have had a year filled with issues with my managers.

It started when i asked for the day off in March, for my cousin's funeral service. I found someone who agreed to cover my shift, yet was told by management that i could not have the day off because "We plan schedules strategically, i need you here on that day". When i was visibly frustrated, my manager said " whats that look for, are you still on your medication?" When i informed the store manager, he brushed it off as a joke.

Then, my mother passed in April. The day of her funeral, the store manager reached out to me to get information from me for project i was working on in store. I did respond, but i was frustrated and rather clipped in response given it was right before my moms funeral. The day i returned to work, my manager was extremely rude to a family member of mine that came in for service. She then made comments anout her being "ridiculous and nit picky". Which upset me enough to leave work early and text the store manager. Once again, he brushed her actions off as "just a joke". I insisted it wasn't, and his response was to take me off the schedule for two weeks. The day i was set to return to work, he called and said he was setting up FMLA for me. I asked him would this be paid otherwise i need to return to work, he said yes I'd be paid. I asked was he sure because i am not full time. He insisted he had hr on the other line and they assured him i would be paid. I was not. I had to jump thru many many hoops to get the medical paperwork filled, but finally returned to work in August. Since returning, ive only been scheduled 1-3 days a week MAX. Most weeks only 1 day.

Mid October, my grandmother passed. I asked my manager for more hours, and he told me he doesnt think i can balance more hours right now.The day of her funeral, the store manager texted me AGAIN this time about a missing order. I intended to leave it at he was busy. However, the day i returned to work, i mentioned texting my boss a question, and the ASM said "Oh no, we dont bother (boss) on his off days" to which i responded "thats funny because he didnt have a problem texting me while im on bereavement leave". I finished my work that day, and left. During my next shift however, the store manager approached me to talk about him texting me during the funeral. At that point, i told him there was nothing to talk about on my end, and i would rather not. He insisted we had a conversation, me him, and the ASM. During the conversation, he said i seem like a different person sometimes, and that he feels like i cant mentally handle the job, and said thats why he's been intentionally scheduling me 1-3 days approximately 4-12 hours a week. I reminded him i informed him of my personality disorder amongst other mental health conditions as soon as i was hired, as well as when i attempted suicide in 2023. I asked him was he seriously punishing me for my mental health issues by restricting my hours to one day a week, he said its not a punishment, he jus doesn't think i can handle the job anymore given I've lost 6 family members in jus under 18 months. And he said unless i can promise to come in to work happy and in a good mood, he wont be able to give me more hours. Since then i have worked 3/4 shifts. During one of my shifts, after not working for a few days, they gave one of the employees a small surprise party. I was not told beforehand like i usually am when we are having food catered or brought in, so I didn't prepare to potentially be exposed to an allergen. I have an airborne citrus allergy, but i initially dismissed the reaction i was having as a possible reaction to the citrus based cleaners. When i asked my manager why they continued to use citrus cleaners her response was "girl you been working here 3 years, you'll be fine with a lysol wipe". There are way WAY too many days where i leave work having to take an antihistamine because im itching or have a rash etc. I've even been to Urgent care and the emergency room from work because of allergic reaction after cleaning. I was told workers comp wont cover me having an allergic reaction in the store. The store manager said he would get signs etc for allergy warning. He did not. The day i had the last reaction, i left work about an hour early. this past week, the manager told me i may have to sign a corrective action for missing 3 days of work since 10/1. Included in that is the day of my last allergic reaction.

I'm unsure if i should just quit the job atp, if this is lawyer territory or what. I am a part time employee working an average of 8 hours a week right now. I love my job, im jus struggling with management. They even say the customers are not complaining, nor are my coworkers, that its jus "something we notice different about you". I have some of the things my manager said in writing.
