DWP HEO Policy Role - Dial In Today

OK so a very patient person from the DWP and their stalwart team hosted a dial-in today to talk a little more about a current their HEO campaign. Prior to the call I was truly concerned that I may not have the relevant skills base for the role - that was until people started asking or posting questions.

I genuinely struggled to understand why others on the call had failed to read the job advert in full and look at the various relevant attachments on CSJ. The number of Qs around contents of the advert, how to answer a question, whether they could get visa sponsorship etc. For the love of god can't you just read the darned paperwork provided?

On a more positive note it has encouraged me to apply for promotion as I can't do any worse than a significant proportion of those who dialled in and couldn't figure out that the request for mics & cameras off applied to them too.

Gonna open a bottle of wine and ride that peloton to my tepid bath now - thanks for reading 🤣
