PS3 Hen backup play

Hello, I’m new to this and I have PS3 slim. I saw hen is a softmod, does this allow to play my legally of course backed up games on a hard drive like the free mcboot in the ps2? Can I basically play isos on ps3 models other than the fats? All responses and helo are much appreciated. Thanks!
