Arc Raiders funerals: This Game is now pointless to play

I swear this game has completely fallen off. When we started like 3 or 4 weeks ago, Arc Raiders felt like something fresh and exciting. You jump in, you grind, you upgrade, you fight your way through chaos with the bare minimum. You were scared to lose shit. Every bullet counted. You actually had a mission. Even PvP was different. Most people minded their own business, maybe a little tension, but it wasn’t full rat mode. You could actually breathe for a second.

And now? Bro. It’s just a giant stash hoarder simulator. Everyone is walking around with max stash 280, everyone has like 20+ level 4 weapons just collecting dust. Everyone hoards purple shit they will never even use. Nobody gives a fuck about bosses anymore. Nobody cares about objectives. Nobody wants to actually play the game as intended. It’s literally: sit somewhere, act like a parasite, wait for some dude who is actually playing the game, stab him in the back, steal his loot you can’t even carry, extract with maybe 10% of it, and call that “gameplay”.

People literally sit in a bush for 20 minutes, doing NOTHING. That’s their playstyle now. Imagine being that guy. Imagine wasting your time just to wait for someone who actually worked for their loot and then you steal it because you’re too scared to fight arcs or do something useful. How is that fun for anyone. What do you gain from that. You can’t even take half of it with you because your stash has been overflowing for weeks. It’s beyond stupid.

And because everyone is stacked to the moon already, there is zero feeling of progression left. I used to be excited to get a rare part or finish an upgrade. Now I’m like “cool another 5 pink items that will rot in my stash forever because I refuse to give some rat the satisfaction”. I only take cheap trash now. Anvil level 1, 60 ammo, a shield, a secure bag and 2 bandages. That’s it. Because why would I ever bring my good stuff. So I can get shot in the back by some loadout rat saying “friendly” before pulling the trigger. Friendly my ass. Everyone is a snake now.

Free Loadouts destroyed this game completely. Why would anyone use their own gear if they can just spam free shit infinitely. You die fifty times, who cares, loadout again. Meanwhile the stash system literally punishes you for having good items. I’m so full I can’t even use loadout anymore. I legit would have to sell my own gear just to take free loadout gear in or it doesn’t even fit. What kind of clown design is that. You basically get punished for grinding.

Bosses are impossible to do. Not because they’re hard. But because humans smell blood instantly. The moment you start, 5 psychopaths sprint from all directions to make sure you don’t get anything. Half the time they don’t even go for the boss. They literally just need you to die. Fun. Amazing design.

And before someone comes in with that “it’s an extraction shooter bro pvp is the point”… No. The point is risk and reward. Right now the risk is zero and the reward is meaningless. Humans are a bigger threat than arcs and for what. Scrap. One cable. An Anvil level 2. Congrats psycho, you ruined someone’s run for literal pennies.

I have never been the guy to shoot first. I can’t. Karma-wise. I would rather die than ruin someone else’s time. I’ve died so many times because I didn’t shoot first and I don’t care. I will not become a rat just because everyone else turned into one. Except maybe Stella Montis, because that place is just pure hell and no one is truly friendly there anymore.

We’re at the point where me and my buddy log in, run around with trash gear, maybe farm some freeloaders for revenge and then we leave because there is literally no other reason to play right now. There’s no endgame. No motivation. No goal. I’m just running around like an idiot waiting for the wipe on December 21st. If that wipe wasn’t coming, I’d uninstall instantly.

This game had so much potential but it’s getting ruined by its own systems. The vibe is gone. The thrill is gone. The meaning is gone. And if nothing major changes, all that’s left is a giant stash full of loot no one wants to lose and a lobby full of rats waiting for someone else to have fun so they can take it away.

I don’t want to hate this game. I really don’t. But right now it feels hopeless to love it.
