Derma Spa / experiences?

Hi I'm wondering if anyone can help me understand my options right now? I made an appointment there for a skincare treatment and then the following day asked to reschedule (a giant expense has come up for us so a $300 skincare treatment isn't affordable right now) and they say that asking to reschedule less than 48 hrs before the scheduled appt means an automatic $50 charge to my credit card (it was about 36hrs pre appointment when I contacted them).

So my options are to either be charged $50 or $300 tomorrow during a very suddenly financially stressful time for my family. Does anyone have any advice? This feels shitty since I've been a good customer for many years
