The Peak Arc Raider Moment

I wanted to share a positive moment I had with my brother while playing Night Raid: Dam Battlegrounds — one of those sessions where everything that could go wrong did, but somehow turned into one of our most unforgettable victories.

We started off running a quest in the Research and Administration Building. Suddenly, we heard footsteps echoing from the first floor. My brother and I exchanged a glance, held our ground, and set up an ambush on the second floor. Sure enough, the squad walked right into us — and we knocked them out clean.

The real intensity began right after. We saw a leaper and we had to take it down for its core. I pinned it with my Showstopper, and together we finished it off. With twelve minutes left on the timer, we decided to extract at the Swampside elevator. Nervous about another squad ratting us out, we waited two minutes for the elevator for the auto-close. That’s when we realized our blunder: this elevator only stays active for two minutes total another duo had slipped past us and activated it. We were left stranded with nine minutes on the clock.

Our only option was to cut through the Hydroponic Dome Complex, crawling with Arcs. We tried to sneak past, but they detected us. Suddenly, swarms of Arcs poured in from every direction. We fought hard, but they felt endless. With three minutes left, things got worse — a Rocketeer locked onto us. Rockets screamed through the domes as we tried to weave and dodge. Two minutes left, shields breaking, health dwindling. I cursed myself for not saving the Showstopper.

We decided to risk everything and run. My brother gave an Adrenaline Shot which came in clutch with Rocketeer. With one minute left, I distracted the Rocketeer — my mobility build letting me dance around explosions — while my brother set up a zipline across a ledge. Rockets kept landing near me, splash damage tearing through my health, but I held on.

“Zipline’s ready!” he shouted. We bolted. Ten seconds left, still 200 meters from the elevator. It felt hopeless. The timer hit zero.

But we are still not dead we saw the elevator lights blinking and opening and we saw two Raiders running for it to extract. On the Asian server, notorious for kill-on-sight, we expected the worst. I yelled, “Wait! Please!”

And they did. Instead of gunning us down, they held the elevator open. My brother and I staggered inside, battered but alive.

That moment captured everything PvPvE is about: the chaos, the desperation, the clutch teamwork, and — against all odds — the kindness of fellow raiders. Whoever those two were, if you ever read this, thank you. You turned what should have been a doomed run into one of our greatest memories.
