Does anyone else never felt tired?
I don’t have a diagnosed sleep disorder yet (have seen multiple different sleep specialists and done a few sleep studies) besides mild sleep apnea that only affects my quality of sleep. I have not been able to sleep for my entire life, even when I was first born I was never able to sleep and my parents had to spend hours walking me around to get me to sleep. I have been taking melatonin since I was six and it’s the only thing that lets me fall asleep. I can go days without sleeping and not feel tired (my body will feel fatigued but I feel completely alert) and still struggle to sleep after days of getting no sleep. I struggle to wake up in the morning and sleep through every alarm but once I’m awake I don’t feel tired anymore and would not be able to fall back asleep, even if I only sleep a few hours. I gone through this for my whole life and tried many different treatments (lightbox, different sleep supplements, different excersizes before bed, ect) and nothing works. I never drink caffeine because I don’t feel tired and I do nothing before bed that would affect my sleep. I have ADHD and maladaptive daydreaming that keeps me up, but it shouldn’t be affecting me in the way I’m never tired. Is there anyone else like this? I have tried researching but cannot find a condition like this, any advice helps.
