Cam upgrades/necessities?

Hey yall at some point probably 5 years down the line once I save up enough I wanna buy a zl1 and I wanted to put a stage 1 cam on it. For those of you that know or have a stage 1 cam, what’s usually required for that? I’ve done a bit of research but also would like to know from a few that have done cams themselves. Thx!
