What should I do

Someone said I should post this here so I'm just copying it to here

My mastiff likes playing with sticks, but earlier today she was running around in the backyard after it snowed with a stick in her mouth and it got stuck in the snow and stabbed her in the mouth. She yelped and gagged a few times after it happened. I checked in her mouth and didn't see any wounds or blood, but I couldn't really see the back of her throat. All that I could see is for a second and it looks a bit red. She had a little blood in her drool string a bit ago but I haven't seen any other than that. She's been trembling a bit and acting off, tucking her tail and not being as energetic. But she hasn't been whining or acting like she's in miserable pain. Also I checked the stick right after it happened and it didn't have any blood on it and the ends were all intact and not splintered

My mom said she's probably fine, that it probably just hurts cause it's in her mouth. We can't really go to the vet rn cause a blizzard just happened and the roads aren't good, and we don't really have a lot of money for a vet rn. She said to just keep and eye on her and make sure she has lots of water. I'm not really sure what to do, and just feel bad and nervous about it.
