Seriously struggling with loneliness and starting to lose hope.
I’ve had chronic pain for about 7 years now. I severely broke my femur coming up to two years ago, and my healing journey has been a nightmare ever since. I’m doing physio 3 times a week and exercising on my own, and I’m still not back to walking un-assisted.
I’ve tried so many things for the pain, and nothing seems to help. I’ve tried opioids, injections, ablations, infusions, and I’m starting to feel quite hopeless. As time goes on, my friends seem to care less and less, and I’m down to about 2 people who really care about me now (other than some family). This has all been so isolating, and I’m feeling more alone than I ever have before. I had to move back in with my parent’s, and my home life is extremely rocky. My mom will do anything for me, but my dad has very little patience for me and shows his annoyance that I’m living with them. He makes me feel like the biggest burden. I truly don’t know how to be happy again. I compare myself with other 30 year olds around me, and I feel like such a loser where I’m at. I don’t have a question, I mostly just want to see if there is anyone else who relates to me.
