planning for february

Hi all! I’m trying to plan a trip for January or February 2026 to take advantage of the Ca residents ticket deal. I’m considering the last weekend of February (feb 27th-march 1st) however I see this is the same time as the princess half marathon weekend. A few questions; I’m wondering if the races will affect park hours? I’m also curious if these weekends tend to draw larger crowds?

I’m interested in going on a weekend because of the later park hours & potentially lower crowds (I’ve heard, though I understand it’s always busy)
