Legion Go S Z1 Extreme VS Steam Machine (Gabecube)?

So I have a 256gb LCD steam deck that I play docked 24/7 (so battery life and screens don't mean anything to me), and I'm saving up to get the steam machine (aka Gabecube), but I found out the Legion Go S with the Z1 Extreme chip and 36gb ram and SteamOS is $648 rn or something and I will admit that I'm tempted. Which would be more bang for my buck? It's estimated that the Gabecube will be somewhere around $600-$750. I don't want to have to upgrade for quite some time, but Valve has done such a good job with their hardware and software and optimization with their devices, so maybe it'll operate better than the Go S? Thoughts anyone?
