anyone get an AGD as a small child and was super gentle with it?

i got my first doll when i was 4 years old, and it was Kaya. i got Kailey the next year at 5 and these were my only dolls. I never undid Kaya’s braids, i never made any marks on their faces and their limbs are still tight YET i was obsessed with these dolls lol. i brought them on trips and they were loved. but sometimes i laugh seeing peoples childhood dolls with shaved heads and markers on them because i have no idea why i never did that stuff 🤔

i was thinking my mom probably told me about how expensive they were and that might be why, but i wasn’t rough with my other toys either. im thinking its actually because i always felt my dolls were real. i used to apologize to my dolls or stuffed animals if i knocked them over or something lol. also, i knew Kaya’s hairstyle was 100% perfect and i never even redressed her. Kailey was the one i changed outfits for.
