Okay, so I just reread the plot for 12 Years a Slave. Man, this movie is brutal.

Solomon Northup was a free man. He was a musician, living his life. Then bam, drugged and kidnapped. Sold into slavery. They renamed him 'Platt'. Sent him to Louisiana.

He faced unbelievable cruelty. His masters were awful. Epps was just pure evil. The stuff with Patsey? Horrific.

Solomon never gave up hope. He tried to get help. Finally, a guy named Bass listened. Bass was a carpenter. He risked everything to send a letter. That letter saved Solomon.

Sheriff showed up and got him. He went back to his family. Seriously, watch this film. It's a powerful story.
