The book that actually haunted me on Halloween… with a stalker in a haunted house.
The book actually starts with a girl who, despite telling her parents, chooses to stay in a house that was given to her by her nana — her grandparents. From the moment she moves into that house, there is a man who stalks her constantly, every single night. She lives there alone, and that was the first thing that started haunting me.
After some time, she finds letters written by her grandmother, who had passed away long before she was born. And those letters reveal that her grandmother was actually murdered by her own stalker.
And what scared me the most was how the history was repeating — the same kind of stalking, the same house, the same pattern. That part genuinely haunted me.
The beginning of the book was so haunting and so gripping that I ended up reading 40 pages that same night — on Halloween.
