How to get closer with my 15F bf 15M

So it's our both first relationship and we been dating for half a year now and everything is super slow I like it this way but the problem is that when we hang out or go on dates we both are like insanely awkward like we can't even hug normally or hold hands and stuff it's even hard to look at each other in the eye and I really hate this I know it's like this for the the first times in the first relationship (at least I think) but how do I stop please help ( and English is not me first language sorry if made any mistakes while writing)
