Advice for New Explorer

Hello! I’m tired of algorithms and want to listen to more human-selected music and commentary. I have good memories of listening to radio growing up, but I fell off.

I downloaded the TuneIn app. It’s great but I’m overwhelmed with options and I don’t know where to begin. Any advice? (for how to begin this exploration) Or should I just go by trial and error?

I am 28 years old, currently based in NYC. I listened to a college radio station today which I enjoyed because the host provided commentary on the songs/their selections.

My interests:

• music with commentary (indie, dance/electronic, alternative r&b)
• DJing / mixing
• pop culture
• tennis
