Should I ask my doctor if it possible for me to get a job or social security? I am disabled

I was born with an omphalocele and other medical conditions. I live with my mom and my disability check goes to her for house bills as I live with her. But I want to make my own money . Plus, I need new clothes and stuff. I could easily ask my mom to buy it, but every time I ask for money she usually complains about how tight bills are. So I don’t know what to do.
