Mental wandering because I'm traumatized.

I saw that some think that WH is purgatory, and it would make sense. The neighbors are watched, if they do something "bad" they are punished. But... For what? Are they trying to prove something to us, the viewers, or to themselves? Or it's just pure negligence and sometimes a bit of cruelty. But the pattern is there: EVERYONE except Wally (Home and Frank are in the middle because I couldn't define it) refuse to accept reality. The reality that this house is no longer (or perhaps never was) a home.
