The last woman on Earth sat alone in the room. There was a knock on the door.

Resigned to her fate, her finger tapped on the buzzer to remotely unlock the door.

Inside walked in a man in his thirties with just a white towel wrapped around his waist. With his head hung low, he apologised to her in advance.

The woman laid a hand on his head and ruffle the young man’s hair reassuringly.

” No need to say sorry. You have no fault in this.”

Nothing was held against the young man and those that came before, as she knew he was a product of circumstance. Not his fault at all.

As the winner of the latest luck draw, he had won a night with her, and she would serve as a surrogate womb for the child he desperately wants.
