Nursing school fucking sucks
TLDR: I think im suffering from burnout because some days i DREAD going to school and other days i feel nothing postive nor negative about school. Idk if its because im not cut out to be a nurse or if im too dumb or just need a damn break...i cant tell.
For context I have only had about a week or two off since school has started in January as I am in an accelerated BSN program. The last one I could remember was in March and it has been nonstop for practically 11 months. I am at the point where I have begun to go to clinicals and I either hate going or like going. I like doing actual nurse work so far and have shadowed some really good nurses and get excited to learn the pratical skills and patient care.
When it comes to the academic skills I have passed this far but the past month has really started to eat at me and i feel like doing nothing. I failed my last exam and it devasted me but at the same time I have zero motivation to study harder and pass the next two. It feels like im in some kind of trance and I can see myself suffering physically, mentally, and academically but all i feel is just "eh oh well, who cares, it is what it is." Tomorrow I have clinicals, and last week i absolutely hated because I felt like I did NOTHING!
I asked if I can do med pass, antibiotics, etc etc... and I've found some nurses just HATE students. I had a nurse look at me and roll her eyes when she saw my classmate and I asked to be paired with nurses. Idk if I just need a break or what, but this last session before break (December 22nd) is IRRITATING TF OUT OF ME LIKE I DREAD GOING EACH WEEK! Like ik if I failed I would feel like a moron and beat mysefl up about it but at the same time I feel like I have to physically drag my brain and body to do anything school related...
