Eversion sprain?

Was walking & stepped off the sidewalk into a hole- up to my right ankle (hole was hidden by longer grass). As I fell, my forward momentum twisted me to my left side, rotating the (completely) stuck foot. I 100% thought I had broken something. Went to the ER. I am 62, and they saw the white hair, heard "fall" and xrayed my foot. "No broken bones, byyye, good luck".

Now I suspect that the correct people didn't hear me explain HOW the injury ocurred, and just decided "old lady fell".

My question: after much researching as to why this still hurts me three months later- was this an eversion sprain? My concerns: 3 months later, there is a hard protuberance where it should be concave, under my tibia. I have pain when walking. It throbs while I am at rest. It still swells if I have to walk much.

If it was an eversion sprain, what diagnostic should be used? And, at this point, am I just destined to remain this way? Is there anything that could help 90 days later??

Any input is welcomed!!!
