Surgery Wednesday, any tips for post op?

Hi all, I just joined this group recently and am already feeling less alone and scared, thank you all for sharing your experiences so candidly. My surgery was originally scheduled for February 2026 but I got a call Friday that they’re moving it up to this coming Wednesday, 12/3 🤯 The plan is laparoscopic hysterectomy to remove my enlarged uterus, multiple large fibroids, my cervix and fallopian tubes. There’s a possibility they may need to do an open procedure but we won’t know until day of when they’re all up in me. I’m 45, never been pregnant (gold star gay lol) and am on hrt for my horrible perimenopausal symptoms. Any tips that saved you post op besides getting plenty of rest and listening to my body? Was eating a challenge? I live alone but will have 24/7 support for the first couple weeks.
