Goal or no goal?

Had an interesting play happen and was curious what this subs thoughts are being I’ve never seen it happen before. It was in an adult men’s league game playing under USA Hockey rules.

Defensive team clears puck out of zone, triggering a delayed offside. Before all players clear the zone, a defensemen of the offensive team flips the puck into the offensive zone prior to the last offensive player touching up. As the puck is in the air, a defender on the defensive team attempts to swat the puck down, subsequently putting the puck into his own net.

Should this be counted as a goal, or waved off?
