Want to take advantage Black Friday Cyber Monday, have MS906BT. Upgrade or update software?

I’m a mobile mechanic and I use the scanner a good bit but I can’t say I really fully use the full capability of the MS906BT. My subscription that came with it is expired and I’m still able to use it, wondering if it’s worth paying to update it or are there better options out there?
