Transitioning from finance to HR

Hi, I’m currently working in Finance at the AO18 level, although HR has always been part of my role (I support recruitment, update JD, update PeopleSoft, etc.). I’m actively looking to transition fully into HR. I completed my education in HR and I’m also working toward my CPHR designation.

With HR services becoming integrated and centralized, what are the chances of new HR roles opening up? Or are we likely to see more HR positions gradually disappear? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
