Felt so invalidated and gaslit by the doctor

Jsut a vent sesh really. I went to the ER last night because I’ve had really bad, near migraine type headaches on and off for the last 2 weeks. They were triggered when mold remediation started in my house and I was staying there. Had to get out for the rest of their work to finish. Anyway, did telegrams, then urgent care and went to ER last night so I could get a migraine cocktail plus hydration fluids. I tried to tell them that I’ve been living in black mold and going through remediation and the nurse didn’t react as if it didn’t matter and the doctor totally gaslit me. At least it seemed like I was being gaslit. Maybe I’m not even using that term correct. But he was like ok so I hear you have mold concerns well most people don’t get mold infections and that’s only people with a compromised immune system like people with aids because there’s mold everywhere and our immune systems fight it. In my head I’m like umm hello? Lol I was so mad but got over it when they put a high dose of benedryl in my IV. I was so high from that, it was weird. And they gave me what I want and treated me. But dang, that was not cool. I’m glad that there’s this thread, my manager understands fully, my family, friends and primary doctor all fully understand. Just so weird when there’s THOSE people.
