Help me choose a work laptop, please.
Total budget (in local currency) and country of purchase. Please do not use USD unless purchasing in the US:
$850 but it has to be a eBay purchase
Are you open to refurbs/used?
I sure am. In fact, I think that with it having to be an eBay purchase that that is the best route.
How would you prioritize form factor (ultrabook, 2-in-1, etc.), build quality, performance, and battery life?
It has to be a functional and portable work laptop with good battery life. It does not need to be a touchscreen. Would be nice to have a really good screen too.
How important is weight and thinness to you?
Pretty important.
Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A.
Anything that allows for a numeric keypad.
Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run.
Just light photo editing. Maybe some light gaming on steam.
If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want?
Silksong
Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)?
Good keyboard and reliable build quality
Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion.
The purchase has to be on eBay because I have a $850 gift card for there. They are running a cyber Monday discount on only certain laptops. I would ideally like to take advantage of that. I've narrowed it down to these and would love to know what one you think will be best overall. Feel free to interject with other options.
