I can finally say this confidently

I was right in 09. When this team was fresh off a superbowl win, and was struggling against bottom feeder after bottom feeder and Tomlin gave his infamous “We’re gonna raise hell in December.” Quote. It was at that moment that I realized this guy was hot air. A bravado. A cache of catchphrases and the worst of it all, a guy high on his own hype. A lot of players have said “guys put on the uniform and think they’re a Steeler and all of the sudden it makes em nice.” I think the guy the players were always talking about was Tomlin. This guy has severely underperformed when u consider all of the TALENT that’s come thru here. Now he’s being forced to coach and TJ isn’t in his early-mid 20’s to dig him out of trouble anymore. Tomlin has been very blessed to have the record he has, but he’s not a good coach and truthfully he never was. Even in the superbowl he won, that vaunted defense almost gave it up at the end under his watch and Ben had to dig them out of hell. This guys been a bum a long time. A very long time.
