"initial" Vs. "subsequent" appt physio/osteo
I regularly see a physio about once a month. Generally it's for a "checkup" type appointment, something or another will be stiff or sore, usually there's recurring things that pop up (eg. a problem knee). My question is about the type of appointment I should be booking for these.
My private health fund covers double the $ amount for an "initial" appointment compared to a "subsequent" appointment, but previously I've always booked them as subsequent appointments since I'm not a new patient to the clinic. These are regular appointments that have some overlap in what the "issue" is, but often also new "issues" have popped up. What appointment type is appropriate to book? Does it matter - can I just start booking them as initial appointments so they're cheaper for me?
