Lot 95 Free Parking?

I had tickets to the Miami Dolphins v. New Orleans Saints game today and got a text in the morning basically saying parking was completely sold out and not to show up without a pass. So I panic, grab a $30 pass for Lot 95 on StubHub, and feel relieved I won’t get turned away.

Then I get to Lot 95 and the gates are wide open. No attendants, no scanners, nobody checking anything. I just drove right in, parked on the 5th floor, hopped on the shuttle to the stadium, and not a single question was asked.

So now I’m sitting here wondering what exactly I paid $30 for. Is Lot 95 always free? Did I get scammed by StubHub? Do they just give up checking once the game starts? Anyone else run into this?
