Is there any hope to get a place as an OW/ODSP recipient?

I am on OW applying for ODSP, but looking for work that I can manage because ODSP tends to reject every first time applicant. I have bad credit ruined by my abusive ex. I have no savings. I've been unemployed since August due to disability.

I'm going to be homeless in 1-2 months, after 4 years in an illegal sublease (I've spoken to a paralegal who specialises in tenant law). Shelters are full, I have two cats, I'm looking for some hope. What can I possibly do to get myself a place. While I'll have a great reference from the superintendent, I have a terrible looking financial.
