Your take on abortion?

I recently watched Sunshine on Netflix, and then a friend shared a story that got me thinking. A lot of women agreed with the ending, and I often see comments like “My body, my choice” or “No uterus, no opinion.”

This brings me to a few questions:

  1. If a woman doesn’t want to continue a pregnancy but the man is ready and willing to raise the child—even without the mother—should he have a say in whether the pregnancy continues?

  2. If the answer to #1 is no, then should a man have an equal right to not be responsible for the child if the woman decides to keep it? Like should the man have any choice in terms of financial responsibility or involvement?

For context: I do support abortion in certain cases, like if the pregnancy resulted from incest or grape. I struggle more with the idea of abortion in cases of unprotected or risky sex.

The floor is open for discussion. Let's keep it respectful and civil everyone!
