So a little about me, eh? I'm in the Seattle area, 4 years out of a 20+ year relationship/marriage that produced 2 sons and an absolutely shattered heart, sense of identity and raison d'etre. I've done therapy, I've worked on myself and I've reached a sense of peace being alone with myself and what I'm willing to accept from a partner.
I have a dry sense of humor, and I love a sense of humor in my partner. I think the term "sapiosexual" applies to me, there's nothing like conversation in a romantic context with someone that surprises me, lights me up with their own thoughts and ideas. I appreciate competence and poise.. I'd love to be with someone that has her own life and is comfortable with me having my own, and coming together and eventually intertwining those lives in the contexts that it makes sense to do so. I like to be challenged, I enjoy debate for the mental exercise.
I have a ton of interests, I hesitate to try to create a list here because who would read it, but my primary interest is competing in some amateur motorsport activities on some weekends. While I have no interest in small talk, I love conversations.. deep, intellectual, revealing.. I love gaining insight into my partner, coming to understand how they think, what drives them emotionally. I value depth, honesty and clarity. I prefer no bullshit unless it's in fun, and I treat my partner with the respect I expect, and they deserve.
This is getting a little long, I can see you fighting the yawn. Look, bottom line, I'm a fun hang, I'm sexually adventurous, I'm carrying some extra weight, I'm 5'11 and I have brown hair and hazel eyes. I'm honest, direct and self-aware. I have a real job and I don't bullshit around. I'd love to hear from you if you're interested in what you've read so far, please no one under 35ish or I guess over 55ish, tho I'd more willing to go up than down, I can't imagine what someone in their 20's and I would have to talk about after about 30 minutes or so simply due to the disparity in lived experience, no shade, just reality.
