Weird/bad experience

I went into a local TMJ clinic for an evaluation. He told me that I had TMJ and I needed a splint on the right side. He had me bite down on a popsicle stick and said "there, that feels better" but it made me feel a LOT worse and I said so. He kept just trying to convince me that I was experiencing things that I definitely was not. I was so stunned I gave up arguing with him and just left the office.

Anyway I just needed to vent about that. Thank you. Pretty disappointed because I don't know any other TMJ place that my insurance will pay for me to get an evaluation.

My TMJ is a result of orthodontics And I have severe symptoms to the point that I can't live my life really at all now. I spend most of my time laying down, trying to get my balance to stabilize or my ears to stop stabbing me etc. Hope to see a neurologist soon. Maybe they can assess me
