I'm not sure what kind of hardware I would need, please help.

I hope someone here can help me with an idea. Every year I staring lights across the my hallway ceiling, so far I've only used command strips with them and it's a nightmare for so many reasons. It takes forever to get up, most of them fall down, ECT.

I had this idea of running hooks at the top of the walls to string the lights on, but imagined a kind of metal stud that would be flush with the wall that I could screw little c hooks into when I want to use them and remove them after but keep the stud there and reuse.

Just to add some more details I typically string them in a zig zag and had other ideas for holidays that would involve a strkng zig zaging back and forthe the length of the hallway.
