My understanding of where we are heading.

SpoilerDiscussion

So with the reveal of the 11 primordial gods. We are setting up a new round of matches or something similar. Of the latest chapter, the current Odin was part of the village of people that still remembered the truth of the world. Remembering even further back, this god lived to be an adult and was excited to recieve old Odin's power.

I am putting together that current Odin is the last survivor of this secret village and saw his family and people mercilessly slaughtered by gods ashamed by their own failing. Current Odin escapes with his hatred for these weak and uncaring gods, vows vengeance by freeing the primordial gods.

Now here we are. Round 12 getting ready for Odin's fight to free Odin. My mythology is a bit rusty, but I remember Odin has a thing for sacrifices. The greater the sacrifice, the better the power.

In this match will be the final sacrifice to free the primordial gods. If Kintaro dies, he is a worthy sacrifice for Odin and the plan to free the gods continue. If Odin dies, then it is the umtimate sacrifice of himself to himself. The primordials are freed. Humanity is still in danger and the Records continue.
