Student teaching and early clinical?

Hi everyone! So I’m doing the MATELED program and was wondering what’s everyone’s experience getting it all scheduled and good to go. I talked to my mentor and she said that odds are if I’m lucky I’ll get both clinical parts done by end of June (end of my second term) but student teaching won’t be until the next school year in September. I just wanted to hear everyone’s experience with it and maybe plan for something to do just in case that happens. I work as a para in my school and I’m really hopeful the paperwork process is smooth.

If I do have extra time (the summer before student teaching and after student teaching), what are some ideas that I should do or things I can look into? I just love working towards the next big thing and want some ideas. Thank you!
