Per-Warehouse Reorder Notifications for Zoho Inventory (solves the multi-location stock blindness problem)

The Problem:

Zoho Inventory's built-in reorder notifications only look at total stock across all warehouses. So if you have 100 units spread across 5 locations, but your Odessa warehouse only has 2 units left, Zoho won't alert you because the total is above your threshold.

This causes stockouts at specific locations even though you have plenty of inventory elsewhere.

The Solution:

I built a Deluge script that adds per-warehouse reorder notifications with:

• Individual reorder thresholds for each warehouse/item combination
• Role-based alerts (Odessa manager only gets Odessa notifications)
• Smart duplicate prevention (won't spam you if a PO/TO was already submitted)
• Consolidated daily emails instead of notification bombardment

Who needs this:

• Multi-location retailers
• Manufacturers with regional warehouses
• Service businesses (plumbers, electricians, HVAC, fuel delivery) managing multiple territories

Example setup:

You set custom fields like "DEN Restock Quantity", "DFW Restock Quantity", etc. on your items. The script checks stock at each warehouse daily and sends targeted alerts to the right people when items drop below their location-specific thresholds.

Technical details:

• Requires Zoho Inventory Premium (for custom functions)
• Uses custom fields + scheduled function
• Checks for existing POs/Transfer Orders to avoid duplicate alerts
• Includes warehouse ID validation to catch configuration errors
