How can I get these LED’s to work?

if you guys have any ideas anything is helpful since I don’t know anything about LED’s I was trying to fix the steering column in my model car and I saw that there were leds that were inside the car. Unfortunately, I don’t see a way to put a battery in or turn them on. (there is a latch that looks like I can put a battery in and a empty latch that says off/on but no switch)
