Do you need the 1LE package to track a 6th gen camaro ss?

I've seen reviews of people driving 1LEs but couldn't find any with normal SS trims on a track. Has anyone has taken a normal 1/2SS to a track and was able to push it hard without stuff like brake fade or engine overheating happening. I also wonder if a normal Camaro LT1 can be tracked too.
