Did anyone feel immensely stupid doing the puzzles in this game?

SpoilerDiscussion

I just finished the wellness center security code puzzle and after 45 minutes I resorted to googling the answer. I turns out the solution involves >!finding the next date after the new moon. I couldn't figure this out because I didn't read the index under the calendar that said a new moon was an entirely black moon. Which I had assumed the "new moon" was either the first time you can see a slice of the moon or a full moon because It seems dumb to me that the "new" moon by definition is the time the moon it's the moon is nearly invisible. Secondly I had no idea that the date had to be written in European format. It's not that I didn't notice the clue about it being in European format but I had no idea what European format looked like and I didn't want to look it up. But I did anyways and now I feel dumb.!<

The puzzles are really challenging my intelligence and I don't like having to try and enjoy such a fantastic story and cinematic experience to end each session with just putting the controller down because I can't enjoy playing it for a bit because I just feel dumb.

To be fair this was the first puzzle I couldn't solve but I remember doing the battery box puzzle and it taking me 45 minutes and having my girlfriend solve it in less than 5 minutes. Also felt pretty bad.

Did anyone else have the same feeling? Maybe I'm placing too much weight in this game but it just doesn't feel fun to feel like I'm wasting time on seemingly easy things.
