Mortise and Tenon and height of apron advice

I am designing a small table and want to join the aprons to the legs with M/T.

Legs will be 3” square thick

I have enough 7/4 soft maple for the legs and the aprons, but not sure how thick I should make the aprons (pretty sure they will be 3” high (aka wide)

And also not sure of the dimensions of the tenons. By using the standard rules, I’m all confused.

This is my thinking for tenon dimensions: 1” thick, 2” long, and 2” wide

Is this in the ballpark for okay? From what I’ve read this does not fit the formula/rules.

This table is going to be counter height to be used for folding clothes in our laundry room

Table top is also 7/4 material that will be 44” x 32”

Thank you
